Description

In spring, Acer palmatum ‘Japanese Sunrise’ has yellow-green leaves, which turn green in summer and then golden-yellow in autumn. The new stems are a striking coral-red, and the bark can range from yellow to orange or bright-red, depending on the amount of sunlight Acer palmatum ‘Japanese Sunrise’ receives. Acer palmatum ‘Japanese Sunrise’ prefers moist, well-drained soils and avoid letting your Japanese Maple dry out as it becomes more prone to leaf scorch from excessive sun, wind, or drought. It is cold hardy and an excellent choice for bonsai.
