Description
A medium sized deciduous tree that will slowly grow over time to about 6-8m, so is ideal for a smaller garden as a stunning feature. It has a lovely bushy habit and the stunning palmate, deeply lobed red-purple leaves, that will turn vibrant red in the autumn. Best planted in a semi shaded, sheltered position, as, like other Japanese Maples, Atropurpureum can be prone to leaf scorch if exposed to too much wind or direct sun.
