Description
Acer palmatum, commonly known as Japanese Maple, is a medium sized deciduous tree with bright green palmate foliage. It is most famous for its eye-catching autumnal display, when the tree comes alight with oranges and reds before the leaves fall for the winter.
This 12 year old specimen has been grown as a Formal Upright Bonsai and is part of our Mini Bonsai Collection, all of which has been grown and maintained by our own staff member Andrii. Andrii has been practising bonsai techniques for more than 18 years, and has sampled a wide range of trees.
The Japanese Maple is the perfect choice to use as an outdoor bonsai, as they are hardy, low maintenance, and give fantastic interest throughout the year with every season.
