Description

Abies nordmanniana (Nordman Fir) is an easy to grow large-sized conifer with aromatic dark green foliage and a natural pyramidal form. It is very commonly used in Christmas Tree farming as it is a variety that holds on to its needles well, even after it has been cut.

The tough hardiness and low-maintenance characteristics of the Nordman Fir makes it a perfect species to train in bonsai form, like we have here. This is a 4 year old specimen grown in this decorative round brown pot. The earthy look of the pot compliments the grey-brown bark of the Fir, and contrasts beautifully against the deep green needles.
