Why you’ll love it

Trailing rosemary is one of those plants that earns its keep every single day. It spills and tumbles beautifully over the edge of a pot or a low wall, softening hard lines with evergreen texture — and every time you brush past, it releases that unmistakable rosemary scent.
It’s practical and pretty in equal measure: a sun-lover that copes with dry spells once established, flowers generously in soft blue, and gives you fresh sprigs for the kitchen whenever you need them.

Caragh Garden Notebook (our growing tips)

Rosemary’s golden rule is sun + drainage. Plant it where it will get plenty of light and where water won’t sit around the roots in winter. It’s perfect for raised beds, gravel gardens, slopes, and containers with a gritty compost mix.
After flowering, give it a light trim to keep it neat and encourage fresh growth (avoid cutting hard into old woody stems). Water regularly while it’s establishing; once settled in, it’s wonderfully low-maintenance.
