Description
Rhododendron hip. ‘Fimbriatum’ is a compact form of Rhododendron, growing only to about 60-80cm at its fully mature height and spread. It has small, deep green leaves, which stay evergreen throughout the winter and spring. In March/April, it becomes a blast of colour, as it gets covered in beautiful funnel-shaped lilac coloured flowers. Like other Rhododendron species, these prefer acidic soil conditions, and so should be planted with some ericaceous compost. It will grow best in partial shade in a sheltered site.
