Description
A timeless, characterful tree with soft silver-green foliage and beautifully sculptural form, the olive tree brings an instant sense of age, calm, and Mediterranean beauty to a garden. Each one has its own shape and personality, with naturally gnarled trunks and airy evergreen canopies that make every tree feel unique.
These magnificent specimens are ideal for creating a focal point in a sunny garden, framing an entrance, or bringing structure and atmosphere to a terrace or courtyard. Their muted foliage works beautifully with stone, gravel, and warm planting palettes, while their mature presence gives a space an established feel from the very beginning.

Growing conditions
Olive trees thrive in a sunny, well-drained position and are happiest where they can enjoy warmth and light. In Ireland, they do best in a sheltered spot, especially through winter, and are well suited to patios, courtyards, and protected garden spaces.
What makes this batch special
This batch includes magnificent mature specimens with strong presence and beautiful age in the trunk. As with all character olive trees, there is natural variation from tree to tree, which is very much part of their charm. Some are more upright, some broader in head, and each trunk has its own unique movement and texture.
Caragh’s Garden Notebook
Olive trees are not about perfect uniformity — they’re about character, atmosphere, and presence. If you’re choosing one in person, it’s often a matter of finding the tree whose shape speaks to you. Plant in free-draining soil, avoid waterlogging in winter, and give them the sunniest spot you can.
