Description
Liatris spicata is a very hardy perennial, which produces beautiful, long lasting bottle-brush flowers which sit above its slender, grass-like leaves. The purple spike flowers are great for pollinators, and can add splashes of colour to any border, mixed flower bed, or prairie-style planting. It can reach heights anywhere from 1m to 1.5m, and flowers throughout July an August. The flowers are also great as cut flowers, either fresh or dried.
