Description

Lavender ‘Vera’ is a compact lavender with beautifully fragrant silver-grey foliage that originates Italy and other Mediterranean regions. Like other Lavender types, striking purple flowers are produced throughout the summer, that are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. This variety is drought-tolerant, once established, and is very suitable to use as a low hedge, planting out in borders and raised beds, or for keeping in pots. It can grow to a height and width of 60-80cm. To keep it looking its best, prune just after flowering, giving the foliage a light trim around the end of September/October. A full sun position with well draining soil is also essential.
