Description
Acer palmatum ‘Taylor’ is a slow growing, very compact form of Japanese Maple in which the striking spring foliage emerges bright pink in colour. Over the summer as the leaves mature, they turn green in colour with cream or pink margins, before changing to lime green-yellow in the autumn. The 5-lobed palmate leaf is delicate, as can easily scorch if positioned in an area with too much direct sun or wind exposure. It is best planted in a site that is well sheltered and has dappled shade. It can also be grown in a pot, so if you find its positioning does not suit this Acer then it can be easily moved. Slowly grows to a height and spread of 1.5-2.5m.
