Description

Carex morrowii ‘Goldband’, also known as Goldband Japanese Sedge, is a truly lovely woodland plant with year-round appeal. Its stiff leaf blades form an evergreen, symmetrical clump, with striking vertically banded foliage in white and dark green. Compared with Carex morrowii ‘Variegatus’, it carries even more white, making it a brighter, fresher-looking choice for shady planting.

Neat, reliable and beautifully structured, Carex ‘Goldband’ looks just as good in winter as it does in summer. It’s a great choice for softening edges, brightening darker corners and bringing calm, ordered texture to the garden.

Planting:
Plant in spring or autumn in moist, well-drained soil. It settles in well in woodland-style planting schemes, shaded borders and sheltered garden spots.
