Description
There are paving flags that fill a space, and there are paving flags that define it. The Massimo is firmly in the second category.
Inspired by nature and made in Ireland, the Massimo Flag brings a sense of scale and confidence to outdoor spaces that smaller formats simply can’t achieve. The large 800 x 400mm format creates something closer to a continuous surface than a traditional paved area — expansive, seamless, and quietly commanding. Laid across a garden terrace, a contemporary courtyard, or a high-end pedestrian area, it transforms the ground beneath your feet into something that feels genuinely considered.
The clean edges and refined surface textures reflect where garden design is heading — away from the busy, the fussy, and the overly traditional, towards spaces that feel calm, modern, and built to last. The Massimo delivers that with every flag laid.

A Thoughtful Detail
The 2mm integral spacer nibs built into each flag are one of those small design decisions that make a real difference on site. They protect edges from chipping during handling and installation, and ensure consistent joint widths across the entire laid area — speeding up installation and delivering a cleaner, more professional result without the guesswork.
Caragh Garden Notebook: Looking After Your Massimo Flags
Cleaning: The smooth or lightly textured surface is straightforward to maintain. Regular brushing and an occasional wash with clean water keeps it looking its best. For oil, food, or organic staining, a quality patio cleaner applied with a stiff brush will lift most marks without damage.
Sealing: Strongly recommended for the Massimo, particularly in premium installations where appearance matters. A good quality concrete paving sealant enhances colour depth, protects against staining, and makes day-to-day maintenance considerably easier. Apply after laying once the flags have fully cured, and reapply every 2–3 years.
Jointing: Use a quality jointing compound suited to the 2mm joint width the spacer nibs provide. Properly filled and maintained joints are essential to the long-term stability and appearance of any large format paved surface.
Winter care: At 40mm depth the Massimo is built for year-round performance. Keep joints well maintained and clear standing water during prolonged freezing conditions to protect both the surface and the laying course beneath.
