Description
Heuchera ‘Cherry Cola’ is a compact, ruffled heuchera with rich cherry-red to cola-bronze foliage that keeps its colour for months. In late spring and summer, airy stems of warm coral-red flowers rise above the leaves, adding a soft, floating layer. It’s brilliant for pots, edging, and front-of-border planting where you want dependable colour without fuss.

Planting:
Plant in spring or autumn into well-prepared soil, or pot into a quality peat-free compost with good drainage. Keep the crown (where leaves meet roots) sitting at soil level — don’t bury it too deeply. Water well to settle in.

Watering:
Water regularly in the first season and during dry spells, especially in containers. Heucheras don’t like sitting in water, so make sure pots drain freely.

Feeding:
A spring mulch and a light feed (or slow-release feed in pots) is usually plenty. Avoid overfeeding — it can make growth soft.

Seasonal Care & Tidy-Up:
Remove tired or tatty leaves as needed to keep the plant looking fresh. In late winter/early spring, tidy away old foliage to make room for new growth.

Division (to keep plants vigorous):
Every 3–4 years, lift and divide in spring or early autumn if the clump gets woody or lifts out of the ground slightly.

Pests & Problems:
Generally trouble-free. Watch for vine weevil in pots and occasional slug/snail damage on young leaves.

Design Notes:
‘Cherry Cola’ is gorgeous with silver foliage, grasses, pale pinks, whites, and deep purples — and it’s especially effective repeated along a path or used to soften the edge of paving. Lovely in mixed containers, under roses, or as a warm-toned thread through a border.
