Description
An unusual deciduous conifer tree the Taxodium distichum grows well on wet soils, similar to a Willow. Its flat, linear yellow-green leaves are held on short deciduous shoots and take on bronze-yellow Autumnal colouring.
The Swamp Cypress grows tall and flourishes when grown near water. Similar to Redwoods, its bark is richly textured and has a red-brown colour. It is not a fast grower but will attain an eventual huge size and makes an ideal specimen tree or focal point.
