Description
This Slatted Fence Panel is a premium, contemporary panel that brings clean lines, privacy and modern garden style together. Smooth, planed slats with rounded edges give it a high-quality feel, and the sleek horizontal design looks smart in modern gardens and more traditional outdoor spaces alike.

The carefully spaced slats strike a lovely balance between screening and openness, so you get a clear boundary without the garden feeling enclosed. The horizontal lines can also help a smaller space look wider and longer, which makes the panel a good choice for compact gardens as well as larger landscapes.

It is double-sided, so it looks just as good from your neighbour’s side as it does from yours, which makes it ideal for shared boundaries.

Clean, crisp and beautifully made, it is a fence you will be proud to look at from both sides.

Important Sizing Notice:
These panels are made to a metric width of 1.8m (6ft is 1.83m). If you are replacing older 6ft-wide panels and using existing posts, or installing alongside 6ft concrete gravel boards, you will need panel spacers. Timber gravel boards can simply be cut to fit.

Preparing the Site:
Mark out the fence line with string and set the posts first, checking they are level and spaced to suit the 1.8m panel width. Set posts in concrete or post supports for a long-lasting, stable fence. Choose a taller post if you want the panel to sit clear of the ground.

Fixing:
Fit the panel between the posts and secure it with suitable screws or fixings, checking it is level as you go. Because the panel is double-sided, there is no “wrong” side, so you can fit it either way round.

Caring for the Finish:
The green preservative treatment means no extra treatment is needed before fitting. Over time, the timber will weather naturally and the colour will soften. If you would like to refresh or change the colour, apply a suitable fence paint or stain in dry weather to clean, dry timber.

Seasonal Care & Tidy-Up:
Check posts and fixings after winter storms, and brush off leaf debris and moss. Keep soil, mulch and compost from piling against the base of the panel, as constant damp shortens the life of any timber fence. Use a gravel board along the base to protect the panel from ground moisture.

Wind & Exposure:
These panels suit areas with low to medium wind exposure. In more exposed gardens, use strong posts, set them deeply, and consider a different panel style or extra support.

Design Notes:
The clean horizontal lines make a smart backdrop for modern planting. Try ornamental grasses, Verbena bonariensis, Hydrangea or evergreen topiary in front, or train climbers such as star jasmine or clematis on wires fixed across the slats. Pair with gravel, porcelain paving or composite decking for a crisp, contemporary look. In smaller gardens, the horizontal slats help the boundary feel wider and less closed in.
