Description
Raphiolepsis umbrellata is a slow-growing, compact evergreen shrub that is native to Korea, Japan and Taiwan. It has a naturally rounded habit, with dense growth of tough, leathery green leaves. In summer, it produces small fragrant white flowers tinged with pink, which will later develop into dark fruits. It prefers a full-sun position in a sheltered site, protected from cold winter winds. Its neat compact form grows slowly to an eventual height and spread of 1-1.5m.
