Description

Quercus palustris Green Pillar is a narrow, upright, columnar form of Pin Oak. The branches grow in a naturally vertical habit, meaning that even at very mature heights of 12-18m+, these trees will maintain their beautifully compact, neat shape, not growing more than 3-4m wide. The deep green leaves will turn shades of red in the autumn. Most will fall for the winter, but it will also retain some brown leaves on the younger shoots which can provide a little bit of coverage throughout winter.

This mature specimen is available to view in our Nursery Park. It stands currently at 6-8m tall, and is feathered from the ground up. A beautiful feature tree that can provide structure and interest in the garden. Due to its neat shape, it can be planted in corners or areas of restricted space, or will also make an impact as a stand-alone feature in an open space where is can be admired from all angles.
