Description
Prunus Novita is a dense, bushy, evergreen shrub with large glossy, dark green leaves. It is extremely hardy and often used as a hedging plant, due to its fast growth rate and year round cover. It can cope with deep shade under trees as well as full sun. Small white flowers are produced on spikes in mid-spring, followed by cherry red berries.
This specimen has been carefully pruned and shaped over the years into this parachute form, with an exposed multi-stem structure on top of which wits a large, dense head of green foliage. Measuring 250-300cm it is quite substantial in size, and is sure to make a fantastic feature in the garden.
