Description
Polystichum munitum, or Western Sword Fern, is a evergreen fern that tolerates anything from deep shade to reasonable mid-full sun. Once established, it can even tolerate areas of dry shade, but will need to be minded with watering in its first year or two while it settles in. Their robust deep green fronds provide interest and colour year-round, and can look great as an underplanting in woodland settings. Grows to a max. height of 90-120cm, with a similar spread over time.
