Magnolia loebneri ‘Merrill’ is a beautiful small, deciduous tree or large shrub with a compact habit and reaches an estimated height and spread of 3.5 x 3 metres in 20 years. In early spring, an abundance of perfumed flowers adorn the bare branches. They open in a beautiful star-shape that are white and flushed with pink. The mid-green oblong leaves follow later in the season, before falling in the autumn.
