Description
Magnolia grandiflora Gallisonensis is an evergreen form of Magnolia, that produces very large, creamy white flowers in late summer. It is slow growing, with a neat, rounded habit, and can be pruned to maintain its size at any desired height. It has large, leathery evergreen foliage, glossy green in colour with a rusty-bronze underside. It grows best in a sheltered site in full sun to dappled shade, and should be planted with Ericaceous compost, as it prefers acidic to neutral soil conditions.
These specimens come in Parachute form, where its stems have been cleared up to about 1m, forming a dense head of foliage on top. They measure 200-250cm in height, and are supplied in a 180L+ pot.
