Description
Alnus glutinosa ‘Imperialis’, or Imperial Alder is native across most of Europe. With its conical outline and deeply cut bright green leaves turning yellow with Autumn colours, it is one of the most elegant of the Alders. Suitable to most soil types it is particularly useful in water logged conditions. A slow growing tree of 7-10 meters at maturity, it does well in both shade and full sun and is tolerant of both wind and coastal areas. A beautiful specimen multisem that will add a touch of class to any garden.
