Description
Stylish and practical, Espaliered or Pleached trees are the best screening for any garden and such easy maintenance. The clear trunk is 1.8m tall then the frame on top of a slightly taller than usual 150cm high x 100cm wide.
Thick glossy leaves makes Ligustrum japonicum an excellent option for pleaching in this way , clips extremely well and is ideal for someone wanting a quick but well covered screen. It flowers in late Summer to early Autumn and its berries are liked by birds. It is fully hardy and can take all but the most extreme coastal exposure, will grow in some shade and most soils except waterlogged.
