Where to plant it

Hydrangeas love moist, well-drained soil and do best in morning sun with afternoon shade, or bright dappled shade. In full sun they’ll need more consistent watering; in deep shade they’ll flower less.

Planting

Plant into rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil.
Improve with compost/leaf mould and water in thoroughly.
Mulch after planting to hold moisture and protect roots.

Best in partial shade (especially afternoon shade).
