Description :

Hellebores, sometimes known as the Christmas or Lenten rose, are perennial garden plants with elegant flowers, perfect for brightening up shady areas during late winter and early spring. They are grown for their striking evergreen architectural foliage but their beautiful nodding heads of delicate flowers make them a gift at Christmas time and into the early part of the year.

Helleborus argutifolius has flowers the colour of ‘Granny Smith’ apples, set against spiny, evergreen foliage. The flowers appear in winter, and remain on the plants for a long time. It’s perfect for growing in a shady border close to the house, where you can appreciate its late-winter beauty.
