Description
Ginkgo biloba Mariken is a broadleaf, deciduous tree., very similar to the well-known Biloba but a little more dense and compact. While it loses its leaves in winter, it is classified as coniferous. Its uniquely fan-shaped leaves start out green but change to golden-yellow in autumn. Before the whole leaf turns golden, there is sometimes a stage during which the leaf is two-toned, with separate bands of gold and green.
These trees have a 1.9m clear stem with a 14-16cm girth and the compact head of stunning foliage is 50-60cm in diameter. We have one specimen available with a larger head size of 80-100cm.
