Description
Hardy evergreen palm, of which there are numerous cultivars. All are grown for their striking colourful foliage, which in time can be held above woody stems giving these plants the appearance of a small palm tree. Ideal for a tropical garden and planting
Arching leaves are olive-green, with red bases, which form the ‘red heart’. Trusses of white flowers are produced in summer when the plant is mature, but this is a plant grown more for its foliage.
