Carex testacea

Description

A beautiful compact evergreen sedge that forms arching mounds of coppery-orange foliage. Newer spring growth will emerge olive-green in colour, and as the season progresses the autumnal colours will become more vibrant and hold into the winter months. Small brown flower spikes emerge in mid-late summer, which adds another layer of delicate softness to this ornamental grass. It can add fantastic contrast to prairie style plantings or perennial borders in a full sun to partial shade location. Maximum height is approximately 60cm.
