Description
One of the classic spring-flowering shrubs with colourful waxy flowers over fine glossy foliage. Even after flowering it is a decorative evergreen for the remainder of the year. It does need an acid soil but even if your soil is limey you can user Ericaceous compost, just make sure you top it up and use an ericaceous feed too. Stunning, dark-red double flowers bloom in spring and cover this standard tree for a good number of weeks. This is a standard tree which means it has a 1.8metre stem and then the head of foliage, dependant on the age/girth of the tree will depend on its head size – check each option.
