Description

Aquilegia or Columbines have been grown in gardens for centuries, and are among the most popular of perennials.  This unusual selection features fluffy red, pink and green upward facing blooms  over a low mound of ferny light-green foliage. Excellent for cutting. Since Columbines are relatively short lived, allow some of the plants to go to seed and self sow.  These striking blooms don’t mind the shade so can be planted most places in the garden. The good news is that they are loved by butterflies (and, I’m informed, humingbirds ) but the rabbits tend to leave them alone.
