Description
Heuchera ‘Hopscotch’ is a warm-toned heuchera with glowing amber and caramel foliage that brings instant richness to borders and containers. The leaves hold their colour for months and shift subtly with the seasons, giving you that “always doing something” feeling without demanding attention. In summer, airy stems of small creamy flowers rise above the mound for a soft, natural finish.

Planting:
Plant in spring or autumn into well-prepared soil, or pot into a quality peat-free compost with good drainage. Keep the crown at soil level — don’t bury it too deeply. Water well to settle in.

Watering:
Water regularly in the first season and during dry spells, especially in containers. Consistent moisture keeps foliage lush and helps plants cope with sunnier positions.

Feeding:
A spring mulch and a light feed (or slow-release feed in pots) is usually plenty. Refresh the compost surface in containers each spring for a quick boost.

Seasonal Care & Tidy-Up:
Remove tired leaves as needed. In late winter/early spring, tidy away older foliage so the new growth comes through cleanly.

Generally easy. Watch for vine weevil in pots and occasional slug/snail damage on young leaves.

Design Notes:
‘Hopscotch’ is gorgeous with deep purples, burgundy foliage, soft blues, and ornamental grasses. Use it to warm up part shade borders, to echo honeyed tones in stone and gravel, or to bring a steady caramel note to mixed containers.
