Description
Heuchera ‘Apple Crisp’ is a neat, bright little heuchera with tightly ruffled, apple-green leaves that look fresh from spring right through autumn. The crisp, curly texture makes it brilliant for adding detail at the front of borders and in pots, especially where you want to lift darker planting. In summer, slender stems of small white flowers float above the foliage for a soft, airy finish.

Planting:
Plant in spring or autumn into well-prepared soil, or pot into a quality peat-free compost with good drainage. Keep the crown at soil level — don’t bury it too deeply. Water well to settle in.

Watering:
Water regularly in the first season and during dry spells, especially in containers. Keep moisture consistent; small-leaved heucheras can dry out faster in pots.

Feeding:
A spring mulch and a light feed (or slow-release feed in pots) is usually plenty. Refresh the compost surface in containers each spring to keep growth strong and colour bright.

Seasonal Care & Tidy-Up:
Remove tired leaves as needed. In late winter/early spring, tidy away older foliage so the new leaves come through cleanly.

Division (to keep plants vigorous):
Every 3–4 years, lift and divide in spring or early autumn if the clump becomes woody or starts to lift.

Pests & Problems:
Generally trouble-free. Watch for vine weevil in pots and occasional slug/snail nibbling on young leaves.

Design Notes:
A brilliant “brightener” for part shade, and a perfect partner for dark heucheras, purple salvias, blue flowers, and ornamental grasses. Gorgeous repeated along a path, tucked into the edge of a border, or used as a fresh green note in mixed containers.
