Description
The Gleditsia ‘Shademaster’ or American Honey Locust has a spreading slightly weeping habit. With its fine almost lacy dark green foliage turning a beautiful golden yellow in the Autumn and its red brown bark, this multistem is perfect as a stand alone specimen tree. Planted near a seating area it will provide light shade without blocking your light.
A hardy tree it will tolerate most soil types but does prefer a moist fertile area. A yearly prune in the late Autumn will ensure a good shape.
