Description
Zoysia tenuifolia is a low growing, low-maintenance grass that grows dense clumps to form a lush green carpet. It is known as ‘No Mow Grass’, as it naturally stays very compact and does not require cutting. When temperatures drop in winter the green foliage turns yellow to brown as it goes into winter dormancy, so it is not entirely suitable as a lawn replacement. But come spring the lush green will come back strong again. It is extremely drought tolerant, and so can be used to fill gaps in pathways, walls and other awkward areas where other plants struggle to grow. Max height 10-20cm and spreads y approx. 20cm per year
