Description

Like many of the Upright trees, the Lime is no exception, they are hugely popular trees for lots of reasons.  They make a great avenue tree that isn’t going to block light or get too wide but they also have an elegance about them, they are perfect for smaller gardens again not to take up too much space or block light into the garden or house.

Tilia platyphyllos Fastigiata  also known as the Columnar Large-leaved Lime is a  feathered tree meaning that it has foliage from almost the base (usually they have a small clear stem to only about 50-60cm especially as they get more mature . Tilia platyphyllos ‘Fastigiata’ is a tall, slender tree, its a great feature or focal point too.
