Description
A hardy, compact variety of Willow that grows best in full sun or dappled shade, but requires a bit of shelter from exposed winds in order to keep it looking its best. It naturally grows as a bushy shrub, reaching a height and spread of about 2.5m, but can be pruned back as hard as required to maintain its size and shape. Yellow catkins appear in spring, but the real show is the flamboyant foliage that emerges afterwards. Its delicate variegated green and cream leaves are tipped with pink. The young stems are coral-orange in colour, which can provide good colour through the winter months after the leaves have fallen.
