Rust Accelerator Bio for Corten Steel

Description

Our corten steel products are delivered un-rusted. The corten steel rusting process takes about 4–5 months, depending on weather conditions. You can speed up this process by using our organic rust accelerator.

Adezz organic rust accelerator is specially developed for the accelerated and controlled oxidisation of weather-resistant steel, such as corten steel.

After treatment with our rust accelerator, your product will get the distinctive orange-brown rust colour of corten steel faster.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ORGANIC RUST ACCELERATOR:

1. Degrease the corten steel surface and allow it to dry thoroughly.

2. Spray the rust accelerator onto the surface.

3. Spread the rust accelerator with a brush or roller. With 500ml, you can treat about 10m2.

 

We recommend applying a second coat of rust accelerator for more uniform rusting.

Do this by repeating the steps above.

Corten steel is a metal alloy made by adding copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium to iron.

When exposed to air, the material forms a protective layer of rust through the process of oxidisation.

This natural coating of rust prevents further corrosion.
