Description

Pinus strobus ‘Tortuosa’ or Torulosa’ as its also known is a fast-growing tree form of Eastern white point with moderately contorted branches and conspicuously twisted Blue green needles. Young plants are somewhat irregular in growth habit, but eventually grows similar to species. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 – 5 m tall and annual growth rate of 30 – 45 cm.

The needle-like, twisted, blue-green leaves, borne in fives, and cylindrical, tapered, green female cones, ripening to brown.
