Description
This dwarf Pine variety produces beautifully bright, golden yellow needles from autumn through winter that will give a spectacular contrast against greens and other colours in the garden. During the spring and summer months the needle colour will fade to a darker green, before the golden colour emerges again the following autumn. Grow in moist, acidic, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of a variety of soil types, including poor soils, as long as the drainage is good.
It has a naturally neat, round habit, and so is very easy to maintain even when its clipped and shaped into bonsai forms, as we can see here in the image. This specimen is 175-200cm in height with a spread of 225-250cm, multi-stem from the base holding multiple tightly clipped cloud heads. It is supplied in a substantial 450L pot, and can be found alongside our extensive range on bonsai conifers and other specimen trees over in our Nursery Park.
