Description
This is a climbing Boston Ivy vine with pads that cling onto nearly every surface. The growth is broad and fan-shaped; the shoots will grow horizontally as well as vertically. This ivy can reach a height of 20 metres and more, with a yearly growth of 1 metre. The shoots may hang over/cascade. Foliage is from May to October; has tiny green-yellow flowers in early summer and small black berries which will feed bees and birds. This climber is best known for its magnificent crimson red autumn colour, really striking.
The Boston Ivy, unlike other vines usually has no need for a climbing support.
