Description
Osmanthus fragrans, also known as Sweet Osmanthus or Sweet Olive, is a medium to large evergreen shrub with a broad upright form that is densely branched and covered with glossy, dark green foliage. It is a popular choice for hedging, particularly in coastal areas, as its clusters of tiny creamy-white flowers have a delightful apricot-like fragrance in late spring/early summer. It can be easily pruned to maintain its height, but if left grow naturally it can gradually reach heights of about 3-4m, with a neater spread of 2-3m.
