Description
This variety of Miscanthus is a clump-forming deciduous grass that produces variegated leaves that are deep green and edged with striking white vertical streaks. In autumn, pink-red flowers are produced on tall stems that sit above the foliage, which shimmers beautifully against sunlight, especially when the sun is setting. This variety can form quite a large clump, growing to a height of up to 2-2.5m and a spread of about 1.5m, so it will need a bit of space. Old foliage can be combed out of the clump in string, or it can all be chopped back in February/March to allow for a fresh flush of foliage to come on.
