If you’re looking for a tree that earns its space, Liquidambar ‘Worplesdon’ is hard to beat — especially for autumn colour. Through spring and summer it carries fresh green, star-shaped leaves, building a lovely, full canopy. Then in autumn it turns into a proper show: glowing shades of yellow, orange, crimson and deep red, often all on the same tree.
