Description
Our corten steel products are delivered un-rusted. The corten steel weathering process takes about 4–5 months, depending on weather conditions. Once the corten steel has reached the desired colour, the rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol.
Owatrol is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective anti-rust coating, which protects against corrosion. Owatrol also prevents the rust on corten steel from flaking off. This versatile oil dries when exposed to air. The oil protects the corten steel from air and excess moisture. This prevents corrosion and helps the product retain its colour.
Instructions:
1. Make sure that any products you are not treating with Owatrol are well protected.
2. Do not use in direct sunlight.
3. Apply the oil evenly with a brush or roller.

Colour: Clear
Drying times:
• Touch Dry: 12 hours
• Full Dry: 24 hours depending on temperature and humidity
• Re-coat: 24 – 48 hours.
Container size: 500ml & 5L
Coverage: 18 m2 per litre
The product should only be used at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.
Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
Store Owatrol away from freezing and high temperatures.
