Busy Bees at Barretstown

The weeks seem to be getting busier, it would normally be winding down at this stage with the school holidays upon us and the holiday season getting into full swing but this year has been spectacularly busy and the projects still coming in. The week started with a lovely project with our favourite charity Barretstown who asked us to come up with some ideas for them for a new entrance to their dining room, a new garden and some planting along the avenue which we were only delighted to offer our time and products for such a worthwhile charity. Dee Aherne and her team up at Barretstown have such a lovely environment for the kids and families that they help, it really is such a special place so we set to work in putting together and planting the new gardens with an array of sculptured and colourful plants to really make it as special as we could while still keeping the maintenance to a minimum for them going forward. Adding trees to the avenue and some splashes of colour to the gardens to finish off the planting.  For more details about the charity and the work they do  www.barretstown.org

Barretstown,  work in progressLater on this week we were back at Barretstown for their 25th Anniversary, Founders Dinner which was a wonderful occasion that we were delighted to be a part of and we were in very esteemed company as Dee Ahearn, CEO of Barretstown introduced Hilary Clinton a long time supporter of Barretstown and Paul Newman’s camps along with Mrs Sabina Higgins and the Health Minister Mr Simon Harris as well as lots of other prominent guests.

It was a lovely occasion and we were thrilled to be there but on the day the kids really did steal the show and our hearts when we heard some of their stories, the most amazing young lady with the voice of an angel and a dab hand on the piano. It really is a special place.
