Sorbus commixta is one of the very best Mountain Ash trees for autumn colour. The mid-green foliage turns vivid red and orange in the autumn and orange-red berries are produced in large clusters. These berries are popular with birds throughout the winter and provide an additional element of seasonal interest. Fluffy white flowers appear in May-June and are very popular with bees and other pollinating insects.
This small more upright Rowan tree will grow to approximately 6 metres tall in maturity so is ideal for small garden spaces. It is very tough Rowan tree that tolerates an exposed position and suits full or part sun.
