Description
Pittosporum Purpureum, also known as the Kohuhu shrub, is a particular favourite for its dark green leaves, which as the season progresses, slowly turn a deep bronze purple that give them a slightly shiny, metallic look. The colouration can be more mottled if planted in strong sunlight but still highly attractive. Makes a large shrub or small tree, which is possibly not quite as hardy as the plain green forms so worth planting with extra care.
