Description

Oak leaf hydrangea is a medium sized North American shrub, with large, deeply lobed leaves similar to those of American oak, which mature from dark green to various shades of bronze, orange and reddish-purple in autumn. The white flower heads are large with numerous star-shaped florets. It’s a striking plant for a mixed or shrub border. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Grow Hydrangea quercifolia in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Plants need shelter while young.
