Corten steel Planters are so beautiful.
Did you know Corten Steel (or weathering steel) is an alloy that naturally forms a rust coating the over the first 9 months or so of it being exposed to the weather. Interestingly, due to the composition of this special alloy, this rust coating forms a protective layer they prevents further rusting. The steel underneath remains unimpaired as the outer layer continues to protect and regenerate as it exposed to water and oxygen.
The standard material thickness of our Corten Steel planters is 2mm, our Corten Steel products are delivered in an un-rusted state and the weathering process will take about 4-5 months to complete. The planter has recessed wheels and drainage holes. This allows it to float a little above the ground (15 mm) and provides optimal drainage.
The wheels make this planter easy to move. Note! Load capacity is 450kg per wheel.
