Description
Camellia japonica is a popular evergreen shrub with dark glossy green leaves and flowers that resemble large tea roses, which are produced from late February until May. A semi-shaded area would suit best, preferably with no morning sun to protect the flower buds in early spring. Camellias prefer acidic soil, so ericaceous compost is advised for planting. Perfect for the garden and will also look fabulous in a large pot.
